The Group

The Evolutionary Microbiology group is part of the Institute of Integrative Biology (IBZ) in the Department of Environmental Systems Science. We are funded by a SNF PRIMA Grant.

We study how bacteria respond and adapt to changes in their environments, such as temperature increses or nutrient fluctuations. Our approach is multisiciplinar, we combine experimental evolution, next generation sequencing and computational approaches.
